Pacific Crest Trail - Day 110 - Sierra City

PCT getting fourth billing on this tree. Lasier Meadow must be lit 🔥.

Worst Trail Magic ever.

Pine straw ↖️

Crazy juxtaposition of rock types.

Jackson Meadows Reservoir. Another massive California water project damming a spectacular river (North Yuba).

I imagine leaving a few in the middle speeds up post logging forest regeneration?

Trail textures.

Seek identified this as an Umbrella Plant. 12” wide leaves.

Love’s Falls. I found a small water cache on a trail above here probably a decade ago not knowing what the PCT was or why someone would leave water along a trail.

The section of the PCT across the highway up to the Sierra Buttes was my first experience with this trail. I’ve tried to summit the Buttes from Sierra City a handful of times and come up short, but falling in love with the trail and views there wondering, if it’s this beautiful here, what was on the trail beyond.

That land has been had. Nothing you can do about it. It's gone. It's had. You lose....Drainage! Drainage, Eli, you boy. Drained dry. I'm so sorry. Here, if you have a milkshake, and I have a milkshake, and I have a straw. There it is, that's the straw, you see?
(He held his finger up) Watch it.
(He walked back a few steps) Now my straw reaches acroo-oo- oo-oss the room, and starts to drink your milkshake. I... drink... your... milkshake!
(Slurping sound) I drink it up!

It was only a mile. Fuck it.

Dale Earnhardt Junior with serious ceiling cat vibes.

Hot 🥵 . Take me back to 8000+ feet.

Larry, I know Sierra City is basically stuck in the 1860s, but the word has should be re-evaluated.
