Pacific Crest Trail - Day 156 - Mt. Jefferson Wilderness - Three Fingered Jack

Start: Mile 2000.3
End: Mile 2016.9 - Rockpile Lake

Three Fingered Jack

Looking back (South) at Mt. Washington and the North and Middle Sisters.

Broken Top, North and Middle Sisters, and Mt. Washington to the South.

We came out of a stand of forest and Kristin said “Will, I want to see mountain goats” and I looked up the mountain and pointed up and said “there they are right there”. It was all very serendipitous.

Mt. Jefferson in the distance. Besides Mt. Hood, everything in this part of Oregon is all new to me - I had no idea Mt. Jefferson was a thing or that it was so ginormous.

The North face of Three Fingered Jack was surreal. Incredibly striated and jagged.
