Pacific Crest Trail - Day 175 - Alpine Lakes Wilderness
Start: Mile 2396.3 - Snoqualmie Pas
End: Mile 2405.6 - Backcountry campsite

It’s hilarious how the contents of our backpacks can explode to overwhelm an entire hotel room and then tidily get packed up all over again.

The hotel at Snoqualmie Pass had some questionable rules on people allowed per hotel room.

New shoes! La Sportiva Prodigios. These are the lightest most cushioned shoes I‘ve had so far. In hindsight, I should have just gone with these when I bought shoes in Ashland instead of going with La Sportiva Jackal IIs which were a compromise shoe which weren’t excellent along any vector.

Someone left a pair of Lavender Crocs in the hiker box. Kristin would cry if she ever had to part with hers.

Who thinks a car looks like that?! It’s like the designer searched for bad Godfather car clip-art.

We apparently issue day use permits for National Forests now? WTF.

… umm.
Pass a drivers test at 15 and a half and you can drive a 7 ton 40 foot house towing a lifted Jeep Wrangler until you’re dust.

250 miles to go!

We saw an ermine sneak past a pika on watch duty and were bracing for carnage as he snuck up the hill towards another pika.

Thankfully everything seemed to settle down peacefully, but for a second I was sure this pika was toast.

Washington wilderness is so unbelievably beautiful.

We found a great campsite on the saddle above this lake.
