Pacific Crest Trail - Day 34

Start: Mile 280.1 - Backcountry campsite
End: Mile 298.3 - Splinter's cabin

18 downhill miles! On a good trail! Near running water! Today was a good day.

Woke up camped next to this structure that too closely resembled something out of True Detective - Season 1.

No, I didn’t photoshop in that black needle of a tree trunk. As far as I could tell it wasn’t painted with Vantablack either.

This rock was ready to party.

Some of the lower stretches were overgrown - basically running back gauntlet machines.

This tree and scene somehow reminded me of this Georgia O’Keefe painting my Mom had hanging above her desk.
