End: Mile 383.9 - Little Jimmy Campground

Met a birb filling up water at a little spring about halfway up Baden-Powell.

The sun turned to shade as the clouds started closing in above us. Time to get off the summit! ⛈️ 🔜

Fluffy-puff air-puffed sugar delights.

The red is fire retardant. The ridge was covered in it - probably during the Bridge Fire last year - although we weren’t particularly close to burned areas here.

The flowers of this spiky plant looked like copper and reminded me of the blowing leaves of a sculpture my Dad put up on a house on Manzanita Lane in Reno.

Late summiters are straight up not having a good time up there.

Not a mobster, just an awesome little spring. Don’t tell Nestlé.

Watched a thunderstorm over the valley from Little Jimmy Campground. We got in the tent immediately before it started snowing during a thunderstorm. Wild.
