Pacific Crest Trail - Day 47

Pacific Crest Trail - Day 47

Start: Mile 454.7 - Serenity's Oasis - Agua Dulce
End: Mile 474.2 - Backcountry campsite

Our VIP shelter for the night. Farmer John who runs Serenity’s Oasis saved us from setting up the tent in a drizzle.

Our shed was the old resupply store which has since been upgraded to this extremely-tailored-to-hikers resupply paradise. We snagged some dehydrated beans, a few chocolate carnation instant breakfasts, a handful of Cholula hot sauce packets, an orange, and some sour patch kids.

A warm welcome.

I can fix them.

Agua Dulce Movie Ranch. They had a ton of props and vehicles littered about a huge property. At first glance it looked like a big junkyard, but was actually a well organized collection of various types of set pieces.

So. many. Gulfstreams. I think they’re probably celebrities heading to Bob Hope in Hollywood/Burbank.

A beef packet from Serenity’s Oasis. We made rice, bean, beef, and cheese burritos. I’d eat it again on trail, but wouldn’t touch this stuff otherwise.

Mountains on mountains on mountains. These views never get old.

Carpets of flowers! Flowie wowie.

These things have to be invasive. Chinese walnuts?
