Beating the heat killing some time with barbecue and beers at Green Valley Smokehouse.

Looking back at the Fire Station we siesta’d at all day to beat the heat. The climb out of there was hot and steep. We started at 4:30 pm or so, to make it the 8 miles to camp near a creek.
