A very serious phone call checking the Kern County Transit bus schedule for Walker Pass summit. We caught the last bus into Lake Isabella at 6:20pm. It’s so amazing to see reliable public transit off the beaten path. Kern County is Bakersfield plus a handful of scattered smaller towns and communities: Tehachapi, Ridgecrest, Kernville, Lake Isabella and has bus routes connecting them all.
