Stormy skies and big mountains.

A wet feet water crossing. The water is a balmy 33 degrees - warming a degree from being snow hours earlier.

Casual trail side views.

New snow on Mt. Whitney. Good luck back there, fuckers - We went up yesterday.
We hiked until the weather filled in around us - a thunderstorm with snow/hail. Thunder at 11,000’ surrounded by granite is … different. Intense. The flights of jet fighters overhead afterwards paled in comparison to the thunderclaps overhead and echoes off the mountains surrounding us.

Big Horn Meadow. We smelled sheep poop, but unsure if it was new or thawing. Either way, welcome to the Range of Light! Another candidate for best picture I’ve taken on the PCT.
Yeah, we’re gonna go upstream to find a chiller place to cross…

The view from our campsite above Tyndall Creek staged for Forester Pass.

A marmot sending us off to bed. Goodnight, Marmalade 17!
