Pacific Crest Trail - Day 90 - Devil’s Postpile
Start: Mile 907.8 - Mammoth Lakes, CA
End: Mile 912.5 - Backcountry campsite
The forest over Mammoth Pass had a ton of dead fall trees with new growth. I’m not sure exactly what happened here - perhaps it was logged and replanted?
I imagine this boulder was spectacular rolling down the mountain.
Devil‘s Postpile is a spectacular example of columnar jointing.
